Welcome to www.lamsey.co.uk
You're viewing the website of Liam 'Lamsey' McBrien, a 25-year-old Computing Science graduate from Glasgow, Scotland.
Here you'll find random stories and thoughts from my life in my journal (which is not a b***, and rarely updated these days), a newbie's guide to the popular online WWII game Day of Defeat, a handy tool for encrypting HTML 'mailto' links, and a collection of (very) amateur photos. The final link above takes you to my home server, zebedee (which isn't always on).
Go ahead and browse by clicking the links at the top of the page :-)
About Lamsey
If you're reading this, the chances are you already know who I am, but on the off-chance that you don't: I'm a self-confessed geek from the west of Scotland with an MEng in Computer Science from Strathclyde University in Glasgow. I live in Camberley, where I've been employed by Sun Microsystems (now Oracle) in various roles for the past four years or so. My interests and hobbies include traditional archery, pool, snooker, badminton and hillwalking.
If you're needing to get in touch with me, you can contact me via or I also have accounts on Facebook, Last.fm, Steam and YouTube, if you're into that kind of thing.
Right now I'm not available for any full-time work, but I'm always open to suggestions. To that end, here's a copy of my current CV, should you be interested in such a thing:
